Course Description

C4 Leadership

The four commitments behind leadership at FOTP, and the Leadership Covenant.

Course Description

Start here  /  Required for every leader

Win. Equip.
Empower. Release.

Every leader at Fellowship of the Parks starts here. Not because of a policy, but because leading people is a weight worth understanding before you pick it up.

C4 is the foundation under every other leadership track — small groups, kids, serve teams, safety. It asks one question first: am I qualified to lead others?

Two ways to make a leader
The modern
process

Orientation  →  Education  →  Implementation

The Jesus
model

Orientation  →  Implementation  →  Education

Jesus sent people out before He finished teaching them. You'll learn most of this while you're already doing it — which is exactly why the commitments underneath it have to be settled first.

A leader's line in the sand

Four things we settle up front, so we never have to negotiate them later.

Never let hurt feelings go unresolved.

Never make contradictory statements in public.

Never grant confidentiality that puts someone at risk.

Never lie to another leader.

Read the guide, then sign the Leadership Covenant. Your signed copy is saved to your record — it's what opens the door to every other leadership role at FOTP.
