Caring for the Small Group Leaders you oversee — checking in, coaching, and making sure needs reach a pastor.
Course Code:
CGL
By invitation / Community Group Leader
So that no oneleads alone.
As Fellowship of the Parks grows, no staff team can personally shepherd every Small Group Leader. You are the answer to that.
You'll carry pastoral responsibility for six to ten leaders and the groups they lead. When a leader has a hard week, a group hits a rough patch, or someone quietly slips away — you're already close enough to notice.
Read every leader report. Respond personally to each one.
That response is the pastoral care.
Check in with each leader directly.
Not about the group — about them.
One-on-one with your Connections Pastor.
Wins, concerns, and who might be ready for a next step.
Group-health review.
Leader load, group vitality, readiness to multiply.
Keep the rhythm and the rest takes care of itself. The guide covers the coaching that fills it in — how to help a leader care for someone in crisis, walk them through conflict, deepen prayer in their group, and know when to hand something up.
